The Idea Validation Framework

The Idea Validation Framework is a six-step, opinionated playbook for turning a raw idea into a validated opportunity — using the tools LemonPage AI gives you out of the box. Validate your startup idea before you build it. Follow it end-to-end, or cherry-pick what you need.

The Idea Validation Framework is a six-step playbook — project brief, brand, landing pages, promotion with tracked links, analytics, and leads — that turns a raw product idea into a validated opportunity. It is designed to run end-to-end in about two weeks using LemonPage AI, the AI landing-page builder founders use to measure real demand before they build.

Before you promote anything: generate tracked links.

Whatever channel you use — ads, social, listings, newsletters — always share a tracked link instead of the plain URL. LemonPage generates one tracked URL per channel (Facebook, LinkedIn, IndieHackers, your audience, etc.) and attributes every visit in Analytics, so you know exactly which audience and which channel actually cares.

  1. Step 1

    Create a project

Start by describing your idea in depth. The richer the context, the better LemonPage can tailor every asset to your project.

A project is where everything lives: landing pages, ads, leads, and analytics. When you create it, describe the problem you solve, who it's for, and the market you're attacking. LemonPage uses that context everywhere — to write copy, pick angles, and generate variations.
  2. Step 2

    Generate a logo

    Optional

A small but high-leverage touch: a logo makes your landing page feel like a real product from minute one.

From the project's Brand & Tone section, generate a logo with AI. It flows through to your landing pages and ads automatically — no need to re-upload anywhere.
  3. Step 3

    Generate landing pages

The core of your validation. Ship a page that captures real intent, improve it, then branch into variations to test angles.

    Auto-generate your first page

LemonPage generates a full landing page from your project brief. Among the existing templates, some are Waitlist type, others are “Try for free” / Sign-in:
    • Waitlist — measure pure interest. Visitors leave their email to be notified at launch.
    • “Try for free” / Sign-in — measure stronger intent. Visitors sign up as if the product existed.
In both cases, captured emails become Leads — so you know exactly how many and who is interested.

Refine with the editor and AI

Open any page in the editor to tweak copy, design, and layout. The built-in AI assistant can rewrite sections, propose new blocks, or adapt the tone. When you're happy, publish — the page is deployed and ready to receive traffic.

    Generate variations

From any page, generate variations to A/B test different messages or different audiences — e.g. adapt your SaaS page to real estate agents, then electricians, then accountants. LemonPage rewrites copy, testimonials, and CTAs for each one. Publish the ones you want to test.
  4. Step 4

    Promote your page

    Pick one or more

No traffic, no signal. Pick one or several channels — the goal is to put your page in front of people who'd actually care.

    Option 1 — Paid ads

Run ads on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, etc. LemonPage's Ads section generates ad creatives (images + copy) ready to upload to your ad platform of choice.

Option 2 — Share to your audience / network

Post your landing page on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, your newsletter, Slack communities — anywhere your potential users already spend time. Free, high-signal, and often the fastest way to get the first 100 visitors.

Option 3 — Submit to listings

Places like IndieHackers, Product Hunt, BetaList, or niche directories in your space can deliver a relevant early audience. Each listing is its own channel — track them separately so you know what works.
  5. Step 5

    Track results in Analytics

Every tracked link feeds your project's Analytics — visits, conversions, and which channel converted best.

The Analytics page breaks down traffic by channel, campaign, and landing page. You'll see where your leads come from and which variation converts best — the raw data you need to decide build, pivot, or drop.
  6. Step 6

    Collect your leads

Leads are the payoff. Export them, email them, and talk to the most engaged ones — that is where validation becomes real.

Every email captured on any of your landing pages shows up under Leads. You can export them, tag them, and reach out directly. A small list of engaged people who replied beats a big list that ghosted you.

One more thing — timebox it.

Validation is not “forever”. Give yourself a clear window — say two weeks — to run the full loop: build the page, drive traffic, watch the numbers, talk to the leads. At the end, you'll have a signal strong enough to decide.
